Roshan was born and raised in Ukhra, West Bengal in a humble family. His father, a businessman, worked tirelessly to support the household, while Roshan pursued his education at Ukhra Adarsha Hindi High School.

His fascination with cybersecurity began during his school days when he encountered an individual who used free internet access using unknown techniques. Curious to understand the mystery behind it, Roshan inquired and was introduced to the world of hacking and ethical security. This single incident sparked his lifelong journey in cybersecurity, leading him to pursue ethical hacking as a career and build expertise in digital security practices.

Roshan later completed his B.A. History Honours from Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University in 2023, but his true passion remained in cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.

Achievements & Milestones

Roshan has made remarkable strides in ethical hacking and cybersecurity. Apart from being a skilled IT expert, he is also a successful entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and an advanced rock climber.

With over 2 lakh followers, he has become a digital influencer. His journey into digital education began on YouTube in 2017 with a channel called “Techy Tricks”, which was unfortunately terminated due to platform restrictions on practical hacking content.

Despite setbacks and multiple terminated channels, his perseverance led to the creation of his fifth and most successful YouTube channel- The DROP Organization, which now enjoys a 57k+ strong subscriber base and growing.

Career and The Birth of The DROP

The DROP Organization was initially conceived as a social impact initiative. The name DROP stands for Development and Research Organization Planning. The first project, in 2019, involved distributing free books and notebooks to over 200 students at Neelkanth Mandir in Ukhra. However, as funds dried up, Roshan pivoted to offering digital services like web development.

Eventually, he returned to his core passion- cybersecurity. He began selling digital security tools and software, paving the way to create a full-fledged training company focused on cybersecurity and ethical hacking. Thus, The DROP Organization found its permanent identity and mission.

We Become Private Limited

A defining moment in the journey of The DROP organization came with its official registration as a Private Limited Company. This transition marked a major milestone in the professional growth of the organization- from a socially-driven initiative to a legally recognized corporate entity in the field of cybersecurity education and digital services.

On becoming The DROP Organization Private Limited, the company gained a new level of trust and credibility in the eyes of students, clients, partners, and the broader tech industry. This legal recognition opened doors to new business opportunities, corporate tie-ups, institutional partnerships, and investor interest, helping to scale the organization’s impact and reach.

With this status, DROP became eligible to offer more structured and recognized certifications, expand its service offerings, and maintain a more robust framework for governance and financial operations. It also empowered the company to establish offline branches, hire full-time employees, and enter into professional agreements with third-party vendors and collaborators.

Seminar at NIT

Another feather in Roshan’s cap was hosting a seminar at the prestigious National Institute of Technology (NIT), where he addressed budding engineers and cybersecurity enthusiasts. The seminar focused on digital awareness, ethical hacking, and further career prospects in the field of cybersecurity.

Roshan shared his real-life journey and insights, inspiring hundreds of students to explore ethical hacking as a responsible and high-growth career path. The success of the event reflected DROP’s growing credibility in academic and technical circles.

New DROP Office at Durgapur- Webel IT Park

In a major step toward expansion and regional empowerment, The DROP Organization has recently inaugurated its new branch office at Webel IT Park, Durgapur. This milestone marks the company’s transition from a local startup to a multi-location digital training provider. The new office will serve as a hub for conducting offline classes, hosting professional meetups, and fostering a cybersecurity ecosystem in eastern India.

This strategic move not only provides local students access to premium cybersecurity training but also enhances industry collaboration and visibility in the growing Durgapur tech landscape.

Team Expansion

From a modest beginning with just 15 members during the initial social work days, DROP has now expanded into a robust team of over 35 dedicated professionals. Key contributors include Ajay Sharma, Amit Burnwal, Hari Ranjan Burnwal, Govind Thakur, Sachin Barnwal, and Susmita Haldar, among others.

These individuals form the backbone of DROP’s operations, spanning training, digital marketing, IT development, content creation, and administrative support. Roshan ensures that each team member is thoroughly trained and aligned with the organization’s mission.

25,000+ Students Trained

Today, The DROP Organization proudly boasts that over 25,000 students have learned cybersecurity, ethical hacking and digital risk management through its various programs. This includes students from all over India and even international participants.

The flagship course, DCSC (DROP Certified Security Course), is especially popular for its practical approach, expert-led sessions, flexible payment plans, and real-world projects. Many alumni of DROP’s programs have gone to work in tech companies, government roles and freelance cybersecurity consulting.

Vision and Future Goals

Roshan Burnwal aims to take The DROP Organization to even greater heights. With a goal of crossing Rs. 5 crore in turnover, Roshan envisions building a pan-India presence, starting with offline branches in Durgapur, Kolkata, Delhi, and beyond. His plan also includes launching advanced training labs, internships, and job assistance programs.

Roshan also wants to develop DROP into a complete digital services hub, offering cybersecurity consulting, digital marketing expertise, and business risk management solutions.

Conclusion

From a curious student in Ukhra to the founder of a thriving tech-company, Roshan Burnwal’s journey is a testament to grit, vision, and continuous learning. Under his leadership, The DROP Organization has empowered thousands with digital literacy and cybersecurity skills, building a more secure digital India.

With expanding offices, academic collaborations, and an ever-growing team, Roshan’s The DROP Organization is not just teaching cybersecurity, it is shaping the future of ethical hacking and digital safety in India.
